MIT’s NANDA initiative found something even sharper when it looked specifically at generative AI. After reviewing more than 300 enterprise deployments and interviewing dozens of executives, the researchers found that roughly 95% of generative AI pilots were delivering no measurable return to the bottom line, despite tens of billions of dollars in enterprise spending.
